Did you know that shattuckite is a rare copper silicate mineral that was first discovered in 1915 in the copper mines of Bisbee, Arizona? It is named after its discoverer, Albert F. Shattuck, who was a mining engineer and metallurgist. Shattuckite is known for its beautiful shades of blue and green and is often used in jewelry-making. It is also believed to have healing properties and is said to promote inner peace and tranquility. In addition, shattuckite is sometimes used in meditation to enhance intuition and spiritual awareness.

    Store silver in a soft bag. Polish with cloth made to clean tarnish from silver. Be aware strong chemical cleaners can damage delicate gems like opal. Sonic jewelry cleaners with warm dish soap are safer for stones however avoid using them on opals.
